Abernethy Biscuits Recipe

Abernethy Biscuits Recipe with Flour, Egg, Milk, Caraway Seeds, Butter, Baking Powder & Sugar.

INGREDIENTS

8 oz (225g) Plain Flour
1 Egg, beaten
1 1/2 tablespoons Milk
1 teaspoonful Caraway Seeds
3 oz (75g) Butter
1/2 teaspoonful Baking Powder
3 oz (75g) Castor Sugar

METHOD

Sift the flour, then rub in the butter. Stir in the sugar, baking powder and caraway seeds. Mix the beaten egg and milk together, and stir them into the dry ingredients. Turn the dough on to a lightly floured pastry board. Roll it out thinly and cut it into small rounds. Bake for 10 minutes on a buttered baking sheets in a moderate oven (350f / 180c / mark 4).
