Baked Greengages Recipe
Baked Greengages Recipe with White Bread, Greengages, Sugar and Butter
INGREDIENTS
4 slices White Bread, crusts removed
1 1/2 lb (670g) Greengages, halved and stoned
1 1/2 oz (40g) Demerara Sugar
1 oz (25g) Butter
1/2 oz (14g) Granulated Sugar
METHOD
Cut the Bread diagonally into triangles and arrange on the bottom of a shallow ovenproof dish. Arrange the Greengages on top, cut side down, sprinkle with the Demerara Sugar and dot with small bits of Butter. Bake at 350F / 180C / mark 4 for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot, sprinkled with the Granulated Sugar.
