Boiled Spanish Onions Recipe
Boiled Spanish Onions Recipe with Spanish Onions, White Sauce, Salt and Parsley.
INGREDIENTS
4 Spanish Onions
White Sauce
Salt
Parsley
METHOD
Peel the onions, put them into a saucepan, large enough to hold them side by side, and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil, then strain, and rinse them in cold water. Now put them into a saucepan of boiling salted water, and boil gently until tender. This will be in 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Drain well and put them into a hot vegetable dish. Pour half a pint of white sauce over, then sprinkle a little chopped parsley on top, and serve.
Enough for 3 or 4 people.
