Cabbage Soup Recipe
Cabbage Recipe with Cabbage, Butter, Milk & Potatoes.
INGREDIENTS
1 Large Cabbage
2 oz Butter
2 pints Milk
2 Large Potatoes
Salt & Pepper
METHOD
Wash a nice White Cabbage well and let it remain in salted water for an hour. Then rinse it, and afterwards shred it finely. Melt the Butter in saucepan, put in the Cabbage and stir until the Cabbage has absorbed all the Butter. Add enough water to cook it, and stew till done.
Peel the Potatoes, slice them thinly and add them to the soup. When they are done, smash them up in the soup to thicken it. Season, add the Milk, boil up and serve.
