Casserole of Fish Recipe
Casserole of Fish Recipe with Potatoes, Cod, Onion, Butter & Milk.
INGREDIENTS
5 Large Potatoes
1 lb (450g) Cod, Hake or Haddock
1 Medium Onion
3 tablespoons Butter
3/4 pint (400ml) Milk
Salt & Pepper to taste
METHOD
Wash and cut the Fish fillets into suitable pieces. Peel and dice the Potatoes. Place into a saucepan. Bring to the boil, and boil for 5 minutes. Drain. Melt the fat in a stew-pan. Add peeled and sliced Onion and cook until slightly brown, then add the Potatoes and 1/4 pint of Water. Cover, bring to the boil, boil for 5 minutes, turn into casserole and add the Fish, Milk, and Salt & Pepper to taste. Cover and cook slowly in the oven until the Fish and Potatoes are ready. Serve from casserole.
Enough for 4 people.
