Chilli Con Carne Recipe
Chilli Con Carne Recipe with Minced Beef, Onion, Green Pepper, Butter, Tomatoes, Kideny Beans, Chilli Powder & Stock.
INGREDIENTS
2 lb (900g) Minced Beef
1 Onion, sliced
1 Green Pepper, sliced
1 oz (25g) Butter
1 x 7 oz (200g) Tin of Tomatoes
1 Large Tin of Kideny Beans, drained
1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
1/2 pint (300ml) Beef Stock
Salt & Pepper
METHOD
Fry the Onions and Green Pepper in a large saucepan. Add the Mince and brown. Stir in the Chilli Powder and fry for a few minutes. Add the Tomatoes and a little of the Stock. Cook gently for about 1 hour. Top up with the Stock if necessary. Towards the end of the cooking time, add the Kidney Beans and stir well. Serve on its own or with Boiled Rice and Salad. Serves 6.
