Chocolate Pudding Recipe

Chocolate Pudding with Suet Pastry, Cooking Apples, Sugar and Lemon.

INGREDIENTS

8 oz (225g) Self Raising Flour
Pinch of Salt
3 oz (75g) Butter
2 oz (50g) Sugar
1 large tablespoonful Cocoa Powder
1 Egg
2 tablespoons Milk
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Essence

METHOD

Mix together the flour, salt and sift them. Rub the butter into the flour, stir in the sugar and cocoa powder and mix well so that everything is evenly distributed. Add a well beaten egg and the vanilla essence. Stir in the milk, beat for a minute or two, then turn into a well greased pudding basin. Cover with greaseproof paper, secure with string and steam for two and a half hours. Serve with custard sauce.
