Leicester Pudding Recipe

Leicester Pudding Recipe with Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Butter, Egg, Jam & Milk.

INGREDIENTS

8 oz (225g) Plain Flour
3 tablespoonfuls Sugar
1/2 teaspoonful Baking Powder
2 oz (50g) Butter
1 Egg
Jam
1/2 teacupful Milk
Pinch of Salt

METHOD

Mix together the Flour and Baking Powder, and cream the Butter and Sugar. Add the Milk, Flour, Egg, Sugar, and Salt, beating all well together. Line a buttered pudding basin with Jam. Pour in the mixture, cover with buttered paper and steam for 2 hours.
