Marrow with Cheese Recipe with Marrow, Cheese, Breadcrumbs, Butter and Parsley
INGREDIENTS
Half a Marrow
Grated Cheese
Breadcrumbs
Salt & Pepper
1/2 oz (15g) Butter
Parsley
METHOD
Peel half a medium sized marrow, cut it into two pieces, remove the seeds and then put it into boiling water with a little salt added. Boil it gently for about 10 minutes until it is lightly cooked, then drain it thoroughly and place in a fireproof dish.
Season each piece and sprinkle them thickly with the a third of the grated cheese. Mix the remaining cheese with breadcrumbs and sprinkle this on top. Dot the top with small dabs of butter. Place under the grill to melt the cheese and brown the top of the marrow. Serve garnished with parsley.
