Salad Alice Recipe
Salad Alice Recipe with Button Mushrooms, Olive Oil, Shallot, Red Wine, Thyme & French Dressing.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz (175g) Button Mushrooms
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Shallot, finely chopped
1 Wineglass Red Wine
1 teaspoon Thyme, finely chopped
1 - 2 tablespoons French Dressing, made with Red Wine Vinegar
Salt & Pepper
METHOD
Wash and trim the Mushrooms (cut off Stalks level with the caps, slice stalks lengthways and put with the Mushrooms caps).
Heat Oil in a small frying pan, out in the Mushrooms and Shallot. Fry briskly for about 3 minutes, turning and stirring them all the time.
Lift out the Mushroom mixture with a draining spoon into a bowl. Pour Wine into the pan and boil until it is reduced by a half. Add to the Mushrooms with the Herbs and French Dressing. Season well, cover, and leave until cold.
