Potato & Fish Au Gratin Recipe
Potato & Fish Au Gratin Recipe with Potatoes, Smoked Fish, Onion, White Sauce & Peas.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 lb (675g) Diced, Boiled or Steamed Potatoes
8 oz (225g) Cooked Smoked Fish
1 teaspoon chopped Onion
1/4 pint (150g) White Sauce
8 oz (225g) Cooked Peas
Salt & Pepper to taste
METHOD
Melt a pat of Butter in a frying pan. Add the Onion and stir over a slow heat until the Onions turn clear. Add the White Sauce. Stir in hot Potato and Fish. Season with Salt & Pepper to taste. Place half the mixture in a shallow buttered fireproof dish. Arrange the Peas on top. Cover with the remainder of the mixture. Bake in a moderate oven (400F, 200C, Mark 6) until pale brown. Serve with Green Salad.
Enough for 4 people.
