Potato & Meat Pie Recipe
Potato & Meat Pie Recipe with Steak, Kidneys, Flour, Onion & Stock.
INGREDIENTS
1 lb (450g) Shoulder Steak
2 Sheep's Kidneys
1 tablespoon Plain Flour
1 Onion, finely Chopped
1/4 pint (150ml) of Stock or Water
Salt & Pepper to taste
METHOD
Cut the Steak into very thin slices. Split, skin and slice the Kidneys. Mix the Flour with the Salt & Pepper. Dip the meat into the Flour. Pack into a pie dish with a funnel in the centre. Dip Kidneys in the remainder of the Flour and distribute amoungst the meat. Add the Stock or Water. Cover with Potato Crust* and bake. If the meat does not completely fill the pie dish, add chopped raw potato to make the meat go further.
Enough for 4 people.
