Salad Alice Recipe
Salad Alice Recipe with Apples, Celery, Chicory, Almonds, Gorgonzola, Cream, Sugar & Lemon.
INGREDIENTS
3 Cox's Apples
1 Head of Celery
8 oz Chicory
1 oz (25g) Almonds (blanched, split & soaked
For the Dressing:
2 oz (50g) Gorgonzola Cheese
1/4 pint (150ml) Double Cream
Salt & Pepper
Castor Sugar, to taste
Lemon Juice, to taste
METHOD
Quarter and core the Apples. Cut the Celery into small sticks and the Chicory leaves into 2 inch (5 cm) lengths. Put into a bowl, slice the Apples and add the Almonds.
To make the dressing: Work the Gorgonzola until soft and add the Cream gradually. Season well, adding the Sugar and Lemon Juice to taste. Mix the dressing into the salad ingredients and pile into a salad bowl for serving.
