Sausages with Savoy Cabbage Recipe
Sausages with Savoy Cabbage with Sausages, Savoy Cabbage, Juniper Berries and Beef Stock.
INGREDIENTS
Sausages
Savoy Cabbage
Salt & Pepper
Juniper Berries or Grated Nutmeg
1/2 pint (300ml) Beef Stock
METHOD
Slice the cabbage and cook until half done in salted water. Meanwhile, grill some sausages. Well drain the cabbage and put half of it into a deep casserole. Mix with a little of the fat from the grilling of the sausages and season well with salt & pepper and a few crushed juniper berries or grated nutmeg.
Lay the sausages on top, cover them with the rest of the cabbage, pour over the beef stock, and bake for 30 minutes or so in a moderate oven (180C / 350F / Mark 4).
