Sponge Buns Recipe
Sponge Buns with Eggs, Flour, Castor Sugar and Baking Powder.
INGREDIENTS
2 Eggs
2 oz (50g) Flour
3 oz (75g) Castor Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
METHOD
Whip the yolks and whites of the eggs separately, and see that the flour and sugar are quite free from lumps. Put the whipped eggs into a bowl, then add the sugar, flour and baking powder, a little at a time, beating all the while. Grease some patty tins, fill them three parts full with the batter and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes in a fairly hot oven (190C / 375F / Mark 5).
