Welsh Rarebit Recipe
Welsh Rarebit Recipe with Cheese, Mustard, Cream, Butter and Toast.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz (175g) Cheese
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Mustard
2 tablespoons Cream or Milk
1 oz (25g) Butter
4 Squares of hot Buttered Toast
METHOD
Put the butter into a small saucepan and when it has melted mix with it the pepper, salt and mustard, the cream or milk and finely grated cheese. Stir over a very gentle heat until it is a smooth mixture, but do not let it boil. Spread the mixture thickly on the toast and serve at once, or brown lightly under a grill if preferred.
